Update Information
The view from the stern quarter, showing all the stern and quarter carvings complete, and also the rudder chains fitted. The rudder chains served a dual purpose: firstly, they help to make sure that the rudder was not lost should it somehow come detatched from the hull, and secondly, should the tiller ropes connecting the wheel to the rudder part, the rudder could be handled by the chains.
